SEE WHAT A FIRST APP CAN DO

Try one useful interaction.

Add a follow-up. Complete it. Refresh and see it saved.

This public example uses fictional records saved in your browser. The course then teaches managed sign-in and private cloud records. It is a practice aid; your own business app is the goal.

You know what would make your business easier.

You know what would make your business easier. A place to follow up with leads. A production queue your team understands. A client portal that fits the way you work. But knowing what you want and getting it built have felt like two different jobs. Own Your Software helps you start with one useful app. You describe the job, Codex helps build the software, and you learn how to check it, publish it, and keep improving it.

Choose how you want to build

01

Off-the-shelf tools. They can be the right choice when they fit. When they do not, you spend time adapting your work to someone else's product. Start by identifying one gap a small app could solve.

02

Hiring a developer. A good developer can build in your accounts and hand over the code. You still need a clear scope, a budget, and a plan for future changes. This course helps you understand those decisions and attempt a small build yourself.

03

Building with AI. Generating a screen is only the beginning. You also need saved data, appropriate permissions, a working deployment, and a way to repair mistakes. That is the process we teach.

Start with one small app you can understand, test, and improve.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

I’m Marquiste Boyce.
Let’s make your idea useful.

I’m a technical consultant and co-founder of Automate Your Hustle. I help business owners simplify their operations with websites, automations, and software.

Teresa and I built Automate Your Hustle around a simple idea: your business should support your life. Scattered tools and manual follow-up can get in the way of that.

In Own Your Software, I teach you how to turn a job you understand into a small app you can inspect, test, and improve. We use Codex to build it, with the code and accounts in your name.

You bring the business idea. I’ll guide you through the foundation, the first build, and what to check before you share it.

ONE FOUNDATION. EVERY APP.

The Stack Once Method

Reuse your accounts and the same five steps. Each new app gets its own project, connections, permissions, and tests.

01

Map It

Your workflow. One page.

02

Stack It

Your accounts. Set up once.

03

Build It

Describe it. Build with AI.

04

Lock It

Private keys. Protected data.

05

Own It

New idea. Same foundation.

  1. Map It. Choose one person, one repeated job, and three checks that prove your app works.
  2. Stack It. Set up Codex, GitHub, and Vercel in your name. Add managed login and storage when the app needs them.
  3. Build It. Ask for one working change at a time. Use the included starter or adapt the process to your own spec.
  4. Lock It. Test access, saved data, and secrets before using real business records. Recheck after changes.
  5. Own It. Publish, document, back up, and maintain your app. Reuse the routine for your next idea. Your accounts and experience carry over. Each app still needs its own configuration, permissions, and tests.

What you get inside Own Your Software

  • A clear first-app plan. Choose your own business use case and complete a one-page blueprint.
  • A first working change, then a live app. Make a visible change locally before setting up hosting. Then publish a small follow-up tracker with synthetic data.
  • A matching starter project. Next.js, Supabase Auth/Postgres, five complete restart projects, setup instructions, and acceptance checks.
  • One complete integration guide in the core course. Read a private Google Sheet into your app. No API-pack purchase is required for the lesson.
  • Beginner lesson guides and slides. Follow the action, compare the expected result, and use the recovery prompt when you get stuck.
  • A way to make it yours. Adapt records, screens, and permissions to a CRM, production tracker, or another small business tool.
  • An ownership and maintenance routine. Know where the code lives, which bills remain, how to restore work, and what to test before publishing.

PLUS, THREE BONUSES

Bonus 1: The Stack Setup Checklist. Account order, project configuration, and a place to record ownership without exposing secrets. Bonus 2: The Real Costs Sheet. A planning worksheet for subscriptions, usage, domains, and payment fees. Tools are billed separately. Bonus 3: Stuck? Fix-It Prompts. Prompts for reproducing a problem, narrowing the cause, testing a repair, and rolling back. Included learning resources also cover a glossary, mobile working, the starter project, and the core Sheets connection.

Optional companion: Claude Code setup. Prefer another coding tool? Use the same repository and build process. The main lessons stay focused on Codex with GPT-6.

LESSON 8

Own It

Document, export, and maintain your app so the next build starts cleanly.

LESSON 9

Stuck? Fix It

Built for business owners. Even if you've never coded.

Your coding tool and connected services have their own plans and usage costs. Start with a small practice app, then choose plans that permit your intended business use. Hosting, database, email, domain, and AI usage costs are separate from this course.

This is for you if:

  • You can describe a small business problem worth solving
  • You want to build with AI and own your project accounts
  • You can use a computer for setup and follow a sequence of checks
  • You are willing to start small and review the result This isn't for you if:
  • You need a complex business-critical system delivered immediately
  • You expect account setup to make every future app automatic
  • You want a guarantee of savings, revenue, or zero maintenance

A few things you might be wondering

Do I need to know how to code?+

No prior coding knowledge is required. Codex helps write code; you describe behavior, follow setup steps, and check the result. You still need to make decisions and troubleshoot.

What will I build?+

Your own small business app. An included follow-up tracker provides a consistent practice path; you can adapt its records and screens to your workflow. Building a course portal is not required.

What do I get for $47?+

Nine written core lessons, lesson slides, a downloadable starter with checkpoints, one Google Sheets integration guide, the three bonuses, and optional learning companions. No add-on is required to finish the core exercises.

Are videos available?+

The current review edition contains written walkthroughs and slides. Narration and screen recordings are still in production. Paid enrollment remains closed while the release is validated.

What computer do I need?+

Use a computer supported by the current Codex desktop app for installation, account setup, and local development. Your phone works for reading lessons and reviewing deployed apps. Remote coding requires a separately configured remote workflow.

Are tools included in the price?+

No. Your coding plan, hosting, database, domain, email, and API usage may have separate charges. Read the Real Costs Sheet before choosing plans.

How long can I access the course?+

Purchases include at least 12 months of classroom access and updates to this edition during that period. Keep downloaded materials for your own use. Future separate products are not included.

What help is included?+

Email help with course access and the included exercises for 30 days after purchase. Our target response is two business days, Monday–Friday. Custom app development, code audits, and emergency support are separate services.

How does the guarantee work?+

If you try the setup lessons but cannot publish the practice app, email within 30 days of purchase. We refund the course and add-ons from that order. A live link means the practice app opens on the internet and its main action works; it does not mean a production-ready business system.

Will I own the app?+

Your code and service accounts are yours. You remain responsible for vendor terms, running costs, maintenance, and the data you use.

Which coding tool do we use?+

Codex is the main path, using an available GPT-6 variant in your account. Claude Code is an optional companion. Model access and usage limits vary.

Are future apps automatically connected?+

No. Reuse accounts and the process, then configure and test each new project's connections.
